The First Year Engineering Department has an intake capacity of 360 students and is supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The department is committed to laying a strong foundation in basic engineering sciences by imparting conceptual clarity through well-structured theory courses and practical sessions.

In addition to academic excellence, the department places strong emphasis on the holistic development of students, focusing on personality development, communication skills, soft skills, professional etiquette, and ethical values. Faculty members adopt a mentoring approach, providing academic guidance, emotional support, and parental care to help students smoothly transition into the engineering learning environment.

Regular student counseling and mentoring sessions are organized to enhance self-confidence, motivation, and problem-solving abilities, thereby developing a positive attitude towards engineering education among first-year students. The department continuously strives to achieve excellence in academics, student support, and overall professional development.
