How to Apply
Procedure for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the Academic Year 2025-26:
Note: For any changes/corrections/additions in rules for Session 2025-26, you are requested to visit https://fe2025.mahacet.org/ and SignUp.
Rules of Admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Technology courses are required to appear for MHT-CET 2025/JEE-2025 conducted by the respective Competent Authority. For the academic year 2025-26, the Competent Authority shall conduct total four (4) rounds of Centralized Admission.
Major Steps in the Admission through CAP after declaration of MHT-CET 2025 Result are summarized below:
- Online registration of application and uploading of required documents by the Candidate for admission on website
- Documents verification and confirmation of Application Form for Admission
- Document Verification at Facilitation Centre by the Candidate or through the method
prescribed by the Competent Authority for this purpose. It is mandatory on the candidate’s part to produce all original documents in support of the claim made in the application form.
- Display of the provisional merit list for Maharashtra State/All India candidates on website.
- Submission of grievances if any, for all type of Candidates:
- Display of the Final Merit lists of Maharashtra State/All India candidates on website.
- Display of Provisional Category wise Seats (Seat Matrix) for CAP Round I
- Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-I through candidate’s Login by the Candidate.
- Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-I
- Accepting to the offered seat by candidate through his/her login as per Allotment of CAP Round I.
- Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Confirmation of Admission by submitting required documents and payment of fee after CAP Round I.
- Display of Provisional Vacant Seats for CAP Round-II
- Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-II through candidate’s Login by the Candidate.
- Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-II
- Accepting to the offered seat by candidate through his/her login as per Allotment of CAP Round II.
Note:- All eligible candidates participated in Round II and allotted the seat first time shall self-verify the seat allotment. The candidate who have been allotted the seat first time in Round II shall pay the seat acceptance fee through his/her login by online mode. - Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Confirmation of Admission by submitting required documents and payment of fee after CAP Round II.
Note:- Participating candidates to whom the first time allotment is made or got betterment in allotment or No betterment (Earlier seat retained) In Round II shall be final. Such a candidate must report to allotted institute for confirmation of admission. - Display of Provisional Vacant Seats for CAP Round-III
- Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-III through candidate’s Login by the Candidate.
- Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-III
- Accepting to the offered seat by candidate through his/her login as per Allotment of CAP Round III.
- Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Confirmation of Admission by submitting required documents and payment of fee after CAP Round III.
- If a candidate is allotted the seat as per his first three and six preferences in Round-II and Round-III, respectively, such allotment shall be auto freezed and the candidate shall accept the allotment so made. After the acceptance such candidate shall not be eligible for participation in the subsequent CAP round IV, which will be conducted in similar way.
- (For Government/ Govt. Aided/ Unaided Institutes) For Vacant seats if any at institute the respective institute will complete the admission activity
Note: A notification giving details such as schedule, procedure of Centralized Admission will be displayed on the DTE website and published in leading newspapers. Details of eligibility for participating in each round of CAP, method of reporting after each CAP round and other details are given in the Information Brochure. Availability of seats for each CAP round shall be displayed on the website https://fe2025.mahacet.org/ before start of every CAP round.

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
The candidate
- should be a citizen of India
- should have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET 2024and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2024 conducted by the Competent Authority; There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)
Or
- Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship as one of the subject and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2024 and obtained non zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) MHT-CET2024 conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admission to any of the following Courses under major disciplines declared by concerned Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
- Agriculture Engineering
- Biotechnology
- Food Engineering
- Leather Technology
- Packaging Technology
- Pharmaceutical Engineering
- Printing Engineering
- Fashion Technology
- Textile Chemistry
Or
- Should have passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only)
Or
- Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) stream in the same or allied sector
(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates
The candidate
- should be a citizen of India
- should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology(B.Tech.) or The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET 2024 and obtained nonzero score in PCM MHT-CET 2024 conducted by the Competent Authority: Provided that preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in PCM MHTCET2024; (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)
Or
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and obtained non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2024 (PCM or PCB) and obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2024 conducted by the Competent Authority is eligible for admissions to the Courses under following major disciplines declared by relevant Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
- Agriculture Engineering
- Biotechnology
- Food Engineering
- Leather Technology
- Packaging Technology
- Pharmaceutical Engineering
- Printing Engineering
- Fashion Technology
Or
- Textile Chemistry: Provided that, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in Joint Entrance Test (JEE) (Main) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2024
Or
- The candidate should have passed minimum three years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)
Or
- Passed three years Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc.) Stream in the same or allied sector
(3) Non Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidate
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks in the above subjects taken together
Or
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent. marks is eligible for admission to the Courses under following Major Disciplines declared by relevant Appropriate Authority or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), namely:-
- Agriculture Engineering
- Biotechnology
- Food Engineering
- Leather Technology
- Packaging Technology
- Pharmaceutical Engineering
- Printing Engineering
- Fashion Technology
Or
- Textile Chemistry and
- Any other eligibility conditions and requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
- should be a citizen of India
- should have passed minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks in case of Candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Central Government or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent
Or
- should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UniversityGrants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least forty five per cent. marks (at least forty per cent. marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject
Or
- should have passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector; and
- Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
