How to Apply


Procedure for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the Academic Year 2017-18:

Note: These rules were applicable for Session 2016-17. For any changes/corrections/additions in rules for Session 2017-18, you are requested to visit www.dte.org.in

Rules of Admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Technology courses are required to appear for MHT-CET 2017/JEE-2017 conducted by the respective Competent Authority. For the academic year 2017-18, the Competent Authority shall conduct total four (4) rounds of Centralized Admission. The CAP shall consist of first three (3) rounds of Centralized Allotment where in eligible candidates of respective rounds (both Maharashtra and JEE) will fill & confirm fresh Online Option forms for respective rounds. The Maharashtra Candidate eligible for All India Seats (JEE) is required to submit only single option form for both Maharashtra and All India Seats.

Major Steps in the Admission through CAP after declaration of MHT-CET 2017 Result are summarized below:

  • Filling of Online Application Form for Centralized Admission to Engineering/Technology by eligible MHT-CET 2017 and JEE-2017 (Paper-I) qualified candidates
  • Document Verification & Confirmation of Online Application form at facilitation Centers(FCs)
  • Display of Provisional Merit List of candidates who have confirmed the online Application Form on website www.dte.org.in/fe2017.
  • Submission of Grievances (if any) at FC
  • Display of Final Merit List of candidates
  • Confirmation of Option form for CAP Round¬I,II,III in person at FC
  • Display of Allotment of CAP Round I.
  • Reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for CAP Round I. (If seat is allotted, Report to ARC, Select Freeze/Slide/Float option. Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.)
  • Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round¬II
  • Reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for CAP Round II. (If seat is allotted first time i.e. in Round II , Report to ARC, Select Freeze/Slide/Float option. Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.)
  • Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round¬III
  • Reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for CAP Round III. (If seat is allotted first time i.e. in Round III , Report to ARC, Select Freeze/Slide/Float option. Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.)
  • Display of Vacant Seats for CAP Round¬IV
  • Online Submission & Confirmation of fresh Option Form for CAP Round¬IV through candidates Login by himself/herself through the website. For all candidates who have;
    • Not been allotted any seat in Rounds I/II/III.
    • Not participated by the way of not filling the Option form in CAP Round I.
    • Those who have taken and cancelled their admission in the earlier rounds.
    • Those who have Freezed the admission in earlier rounds but now are desirous of changing the option to Floating or Sliding.
  • Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round¬IV
  • Reporting to the ARC as per Allotment of CAP Round IV (If seat is allotted first time i.e. in Round IV, Report to ARC, Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.)
  • For all candidates: Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Confirmation of Admission by submitting required documents and paying remaining fees, as per the Allotment.
  • Note: A notification giving details such as schedule, procedure of Centralized Admission will be displayed on the DTE website and published in leading newspapers. Details of eligibility for participating in each round of CAP, method of reporting after each CAP round and other details are given in the Annexure-I of Information Brochure. Availability of seats for each CAP round shall be displayed on the website http://www.dte.org.in/fe2017 before start of every CAP round.
